Zepzelca–Tecentriq Combination Approved for Maintenance Treatment of Extensive – Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer in Canada, Qatar and South Korea – PharmaMar
PharmaMar announced that health authorities in Canada, Qatar and South Korea have approved Zepzelca (lurbinectedin) in combination with atezolizumab (Tecentriq) for the maintenance treatment for adult patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer whose disease has not progressed following first-line induction therapy with atezolizumab, carboplatin and etoposide.
The approvals by the Canada’s Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB), the Health Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of South Korea (MFDS) are based on the positive results from the Phase 3 IMforte trial.
With these latest authorizations, the lurbinectedin–atezolizumab combination is now approved in 18 territories worldwide, including the European Union and the United States.
